Salary:
For candidates based in NY this position typically pays between $91,600 - $104,000.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:
30 am - 4:
30 pm; hours subject to change and overtime as necessary.
Travel:

Summary:
Plans, coordinates, and directs food safety, regulatory and quality standards in the Vernon, NY manufacturing facility.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor and develop FSQR technicians, supervisors and QMS/SQF associates.
Foster a culture of quality and collaboration amongst peers and plant personnel.
Manage staff responsible for maintaining accurate records of all product testing and quality management system compliance.
Formulates and maintains Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory objectives in conjunction with corporate policies and goals.
In conjunction with Sales, manage all customer complaints or quality issues and determine what action or remedy needs to be implemented, both internally and externally.
Performs quality process and product reviews to ensure compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company QMS.
Collaborate on plant KPI's and make recommendations as needed.
Lead or collaborate in RCA, CAPA, AAR's and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Key contact for Regulatory agencies, customers and other 3 party inspections.
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
Maintains current awareness of Regulatory issues and implementation of compliance requirements.
Maintains all SQF/QMS requirements.
Collaborates to develop and maintain a culture of proactive quality.
Travel as required.

Education and
Experience:
B.
S.
degree in Biology, Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemistry or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years quality or management experience.

years managing quality staff.
Working knowledge of plant quality systems, laboratory functions and manufacturing operations.
Working knowledge of FDA and PMO and other government/regulatory requirements.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Certification and/or License - Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification or attainment of PCQI within 12 months of hiring.
Mature leadership and team building skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
